Refrigerator – Wash all surfaces with baking soda and water and dry thoroughly. Place a box of baking soda in the fridge and freezer compartment and place a clean towel on the door so that it remains open for air circulation. Vacuum all fan and motor areas and repair any broken grills or shelves.
Washer and Dryer – Thoroughly wash and dry the interior and exterior of both appliances. Add anti-freeze suitable for use in water systems into the tub of the washer and spin for 30 seconds to allow the anti-freeze to spread throughout the water pipes. Vacuum all grills, fans and motorized areas at the back of your washer. Place on wood blocks to allow air circulation around. Put a clean cloth on both appliance doors to keep them slightly ajar. When re-starting the washer make sure you run through a cycle to allow all the anti-freeze to exit the system.
