We have just finished our 14 years renting a nice sizable locker at the Bermondsey location (we finally moved to a larger apartment), and would like to confirm many testimonials others have written.

Ruth and staff have been first-rate and very friendly every time we’ve had contact with them. The location has consistently been SO clean and well maintained over our 14 year association. Periodically, I would do a deep-dive into our locker with a flashlight looking for ‘creatures’
and over the entire time, I never found even one. (And I know what to look for.) But because management and staff are vigilant about cleanliness, we never had a worry about our stored items for one moment. I used to love popping out from time to time to either bring back or drop off an object or two.

I will have no reservations in sincerely recommending this location to anyone looking for a professionally run locker service.

Absolutely top-notch, and if there was a star rating, this location would be 6 out of 5 in our eyes!!!

Thanks all again for making this part of our happy recollections. “Do you remember our locker?” “I sure do . . . it was always so nice and clean!! Wow!” That is how I will fondly remember the Self-Stor location on Bermondsey.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful team
members at Self Stor on Newkirk Road in Richmond Hill for their
professionalism, excellent customer service and the great culture of care
demonstrated by all individuals in that store.

I have been a customer to this facility for over 2 years and have made
several trips to the storage facility during this time. The staff have
always been great, helpful and fun! They are all easy to work and talk with
and are very accommodating and represent your company with the highest level
of professionalism and integrity.

As I was moving my furniture out from your facility for the last time, I
lost the keys to my house that I was moving into that day. I called Michael
Perry (my life line) at Self Stor to see if he may have seen them. Without
me asking or urging, Michael took it upon himself to back track and walk the
corridors to my storage locker, checking garbage bins along the way, exits,
asking other customers in the corridor that day, the lobby, the candy jar
where I helped myself to a lollipop (what?! The candy jar was staring me in
the face!), lobby chair and under the mat in the lobby. This was great
initiative on behalf of Michael and is also indicative of his leadership
abilities and skills with the team in Richmond Hill. I later found out that
Michael talked to the staff about looking out for my keys at your annual
Office Dinner Party since everyone was there. WOW! I wasn’t and didn’t
expect him to do that for me!

I’m always pleased to see Michael when I arrive which I noticed at times he
covers many hours at the store. Shortage of staff is certainly the sign of
the times. I’ve been there before in hotel operations…so, I understand
the service industry. No matter how many consecutive days he has worked in
a row, he was always upbeat and helpful.

In my current position in the hotel industry, I wear the hat of Operations
Consultant, Quality Assurance Assessor and Superior Customer Care Trainer.
Let me tell you…every time I walk into Self Stor, I walk out with the
“WOW” effect from your staff. Hats off and thumbs up! I will certainly use
my experience at Self Stor – Michael and team are excellent examples for
future Superior Customer Care training of exemplifying Superior Customer
Care practices.

I strongly feel that Michael and the team at this store deserve the highest
recognition from your organization. You set a great example to others!

In the world of journalism, there is a saying, “When it bleeds, it
reads”…In other words, bad news travels fast and 10 people will tell 10

Well, in your case, your excellent demonstration of Superior Customer Care

I recently rented a storage locker at the Bermondsey location. Just wanted to say “thanks” for the service that was provided. I visited several different locations when I was looking for a place to store some contents of my house during a renovation. Most were similar in price-what made a difference was the folks that I dealt with during these site visits. I wanted to mention two of your staff-Richard and Bruce-they were the ones that convinced me that I could trust my things to Self Stor. They were quick to answer my questions and came across as flexible and fair. Customers need to feel that they can trust the storage company-if they do not feel comfortable with the staff then it is a no-go. In choosing a locker, my team was looking for a safe, convenient location, with a large enough space for 5 sales reps, that was cost efficient. Toronto East Selfstor certainly fit the bill for all our requirements. Great location, variety of sized lockers to choose from and excellent security. What Service!!

I have been a client at Toronto East SelfStor (Bermondsey Rd.) for the past 6 years. However, my company has held the same unit that I use for the past 15+ years. This is a true testament to the exceptional standards of customer service that Ruth, Bill and the other employees provide. Not only do they collect my rent (but in a really, really nice rent collector kind of way!!), but they help out with courtesy phone calls for large and/or important deliveries, help with loading my van and always a watchful eye.
But its not only a business relationship. I often stop in the office to chat on the way back to my unit. They are TOP NOTCH employees who would be dearly missed if I ever moved. This storage facility is actually outside of my sales territory, but I wouldn’t move if you paid me!!
Keep up the good work. Your dedication and genuine interest in your tenants is truly appreciated!

My name is April Dang. I have been a Canadian citizen for 40 years but have recently moved to the U.S. this year.
I worked in the banking industry, in Canada, for 18 years and know how important it is to give credit where it is due when people give outstanding customer service.
I had a storage unit at your Richmond Hill Self Stor for over a year but due to my residence change it was then handled by my mother. Being out of the country it can be a little unnerving not being sure that your matters at home can be handled without you being there. I came across a few situations where it would be imperative that my mother be able to access my unit and all dealings be taken care of by her. Your representatives, especially Michael Perry, assured me before I left that I did not need to concern myself as everything was in order to have my mother take care of the unit and if there were any issues they could deal with her directly. It was just as important to them as it was to me that I feel comfortable that nothing would fall through the cracks and I would not be abroad and find out that they needed anything further from me.
My brother recently returned from abroad and needed to store some of his home belongings. I immediately suggested that he use Self Stor as they have great facilities but even more important they are customer service focused. He opened up a unit at the Richmond Hill location.
My brother was called away on business in Turkey. In December he contacted me to let me know that some items he had purchased in Montreal were ready for delivery and needed to be immediately shipped . I happened to be in Toronto for 2 days only when he called me from Turkey. We did not know what to do as his current unit with Self Stor most likely could not fit the boxes and we had no relatives with space for it. By mid afternoon and many phone calls later I suggested to him that I drive to Self Stor and see if they could solve his dilemma. Robin Cousineau was the representative on shift and when I explained the situation she said that she did not see any problem and they could help us out. She immediately came up with a solution for us and his items were to be shipped to a new storage unit that was opened for him. He was provided with the unit # and the address to provide to the shippers in Montreal and everything was taken care of. I then spoke with Michael Perry, once again, and let him know that I appreciated all that he and his staff continue to do to help us out in our times of need and in our daily usage of storage space.
Twice now when it really counted, your team at the Self Stor ( 25 Newkirk Road) office far exceeded our expectations and gave us peace of mind when it was really needed.
It is this type of “above and beyond” customer service that shows the committment and sincerity of your employees and that they truly value the customer.
Thank you for listening and I hope you let them know that myself and my family greatly appreciate all they have done and continue to do, simply because they like doing it and customer service is of the utmost importance to them.

For the past 5 years I have used this facility for storage of household articles. In that time I have had excellent results with absolutely no problems and have received excellent customer service. The storage lockers themselves are kept very clean and well maintained, doors and latches in proper working order and equipped with lighting that works.
The grounds are also very well maintained, the perimeter is completely fenced with a single security entrance in and out. The security system is very up to date and well maintained.
In my opinion, this is a place where you can store your articles and have piece of mind. As for the cost, for the service that you receive and the piece of mind, this is really not expensive.
I will personally continue to recommend this facility to anyone, including friends, especially my family. This in itself says it all for me.
